Chess Lesson 11

Each of these lessons is designed to help a chess teacher train a group of novice players in 15 to 20 minutes. The lessons are a mix of openings, tactics, and positional play. After teaching these lessons to a few hundred kids, I have seen an increase in rating of over 100 ELO consistently. Because most kids can quickly pick up how the pieces move, we skip that. Instead we focus on one simple lesson with an easy to learn tactic, and the results are pretty amazing.
